Admiral Sir Roddy’s Home: Residence for Artists

Admiral Sir Roddy Artist in Western Isles of Scotland

Vice-Admiral Roddy Macdonald was a courageous WWII veteran with a “piratical” character, he was also a watercolorist and a community champion on the Isle of Skye – where he helped stop tankers sailing down the Minch.
The cottage where he retired to paint has now been gifted to Wasps Artists Studios who have transformed it into a residence for future generations of artists – giving them the chance to enjoy the very land and seascapes that inspired the admiral.
