Its success is such that an ambitious building programme is currently under way, with centres by various big-name architects around the country – from Frank Gehry in Dundee, to Daniel Libeskind in Cambridge, Page and Park in Glasgow and Inverness to Zaha Hadid in Kirkcaldy.

Glasgow set to become the only city with 2 Maggies Centres, with a new building for Gartnavel.
Meanwhile, the PM’s wife praises Kirkcaldy’s centre in the Telegraph, 5 Jan: ”Our local Maggie’s is a remarkable place, designed by the groundbreaking architect Zaha Hadid. It has a feeling of peace and human purpose. This beautiful building helps people look outward and forward.”
