Location: 4m east of Linlithgow, off A904, West Lothian Architecture: the house was gifted by the Dalyells to the National Trust in 1944 History: The current Tam Dalyell has an illustrious past in the House of Commons and originated the famous West Lothian Question re p[roblems with scottish Devolution. General Tam Dalyell founded the Royal Scots Greys. It is reputed that the General roasted his enemies alive in the ovens.
