The international exhibition and conference on waterfront regeneration will take place in the SECC from the 17th to the 19th of October 2006. Glasgow Harbour Phase 2 is a major new development on the Clydeside and one of the largest regeneration projects in Scotland. It is situated on the historical site of the former Granary buildings. The project, for developer Dandara, will be be exhibited along side their recently completed project at Lancefield Quay .The gm+ad presentation will also feature the architect's proposals for the Tradeston Bridge. The mission of WaterfrontExpo is to make a positive difference to waterfront developments – both existing and new - around the globe, primarily through the creation of an annual conference and exhibition where professions involved in waterfront development come together to share knowledge and promote best practice. The competition to win the Plook on the Plinth for the most dismal town has been particularly strong, with an advisory panel including Alan Taylor, Associate Editor of the Sunday Herald and Ricky Demarco, the arts impresario examining towns and city areas as diverse as Ardrossan and Granton in Edinburgh to draw up assessment criteria.
