Keppie win Forth Valley against Ken Shuttleworth's make 160506 Forth Valley Hospital building: image from Keppie Architects 190506 Keppie Design wins Scottish hospital bid Team led by Equion, Serco, & Laing O’Rourke announced as preferred bidder for new £284m Forth Valley Acute Services PPP project NHS Forth Valley have selected the consortium led by Equion as preferred bidder for the New Acute Hospital for Forth Valley PPP project. The 814 bed hospital will provide world class facilities, and will replace existing hospitals at Stirling and Falkirk as part of an integrated strategy for delivery of healthcare services across central Scotland. Speaking after the announcement, Graham McCorkindale, Keppie Director responsible for the project, highlighted the collaborative working relationship with Equion, Laing O’Rourke, Serco, and the rest of the design team as a key factor in the success. ‘This has been a fantastic team effort’, he said, ‘ and we are all excited at the opportunity it provides to realise innovative ideas in relation to healthcare design.’ Keppie Chairman Peter Scott commented: ‘This is a tremendous recognition of the people in the practice, especially given the quality of the competition.
