At that time Rennie Mackintosh was employed by Honeyman & Keppie Architects. The Daily Record building's exterior was clad in white glazed brick on upper floors, with coloured Art Nouveau style tiles at ground level. The interior was clad with white glazed tiles. The Daily Record & Sunday Mail is among the largest daily newspapers in Scotland and primarily serves Glasgow & Strathclyde.
