Butterfly Kisses Shop, Glasgow : Skirving Street Store

Butterfly Kisses Date: 2008 Design: Jonathan McQuillan Recently completed interior fit-out of a ladies boutique in Shawlands. The clients, Pamela and Gillian, were looking for a bespoke interior to create a unique shopping experience that reflected their interests in design and fashion. The shop unit is located in the ground floor of a tenement block on Skirving Street, Glasgow. The main feature is a free form, floor-to-ceiling floating shelf that runs the full length of the shop. This dips and curves to form shelves at various heights and to frame the clothing on display. A bespoke butterfly table was crafted from handpicked douglas fir. The sales counter was also created from the same douglas fir and laser etched perspex sheets.
