Reidvale Adventure Play

The Existing building is situated within the grounds of a community adventure
playground where local children can use the park's play facilities in Glasgow's East end. The building is a hub for after school play and due to the growing number of users, there was a requirement for the client to provide additional internal play and community space and offices. A limited budget meant that an extension of the existing building was conceived. The design of the new facility extends the functions of the old into the new with large folding doors that allow the internal space to be sub-divided or used as a large volume.

Black Zinc clad rooflights allow daylight to flood into the new extension whilst the
oversailing roof provides shelter externally. The extension is timber framed with
timber clad walls to the main play area and rendered wall to the office.
