Glasgow Storage Facility

Nitshill Open Museum by CBC

Open Museum Glasgow

The £7m Open Museum at Nitshill houses around 200,000 exhibits. It opened in 2003.

It is the main storage centre for Glasgow’s art & artifacts that are not on display: its completion was essential prior to work on the £25m Kelvingrove Museum upgrading project.

CBC were the design and build contractor for the facility. The building comprises an area of 70,000 sqft with storage space, workshop facilities, offices and exhibition area.

CBC were also reportedly responsible for the Metropole Building on Clyde Street in Glasgow.
