Hoesch Design Competition

Zoo Architects Ltd has been selected to take part in an invited competition by HOESCH. Five European firms were selected to take part in the competition to design a visionary bathroom concept. Each firm was given a theme and asked to produce a final design based on this theme and the concept of Wellness.

Hoesch Design Awards

Zoo’s theme was ‘Bionic System natural cycles, plants and bionic systems in the bathroom’.

Zoo attended a start up workshop in Cologne and returned 8 weeks later to present their initial concepts.

The final judging will take place on 19 Oct 2002.

Zoo Halls
Zoo has been appointed by Glasgow City Council, Cultural and Leisure Services, to carry out a Feasibility Study at Partick Burgh Halls. The Council has identified Partick Burgh Halls as the busiest public facility in the city and in need of a major refurbishment. Zoo are working on a phased approach to the project with Gardiner & Theobald, Woolgar Hunter, Sandy Brown Associates and Rybka Battle.

The British and Foreign Commonwealth Office has appointed Zoo to carry out design education workshops in February and April 2003 in St Petersburg.

The British and Foreign Commonwealth Office has appointed Zoo to design an Open Space Project in Kalininsky Raion in St Petersburg. Zoo will be working with the local community and school children on the design of the space.
