The Corinthian Club in Glasgow – Ingram Street

A Brief History

The Corinthian Club is located on Ingram Street. This modern street runs perpendicular between Queen Street and High Street, connecting the old centre of the city with its contemporary hub. The site which now houses the Corinthian has had a varied life. In 1752, it held the mansion of the tobacco merchant George Buchanan. The house was held by several prominent Glaswegian families before it was demolished in 1842.

The building which replaced it became the Glasgow Ship’s Bank before serving as the High Court for a number of years. It is now, of course, the Corinthian Club and is home to four floors of fun and pleasure.

Casino

If you are in the mood for a little five-star gambling but you don’t want to head to the glitz and glam of Monte Carlo or Las Vegas, the casino at the Corinthian will welcome you with open arms. There are all your favourite table games like blackjack and roulette, with plenty of slots to keep you entertained in between. You can even book out the private poker room for you and your friends, perfect for an extra special event.

Can’t wait until you get to a casino? Why not head online? NetBet slots has all the games you could ever want, perfect to put you in the mood for a night at a land-based casino like at the Corinthian. With more games than you can imagine, check them out if you have an itch for slots that needs to be scratched.

The Corinthian Club Restaurants & Bars

Many people also choose to visit the Corinthian for its many restaurants and bars. The first place you should make a beeline for Tellers Bar & Brasserie, as this room is home to an unbelievably beautiful domed glass ceiling. It is popular for both business lunches, afternoon teas, and evening cocktails.

The Corinthian is also home a number of bars. From the architectural majesty of the Flying Scotsman to the dark and stylish Charlie Parker’s, there is always going to be somewhere for you to grab a drink. Weather permitting (you are in Scotland after all!), you could even slip out to the outdoor terrace for a cool glass of bubbly and amazing views of the surrounding city.

If you are looking for elegance in abundance, you will certainly find it at the Corinthian. With its convenient location in Merchant City, just a short walk away from both of the major Glaswegian stations, it is a stunning venue with the capabilities of hosting plenty of events. Stop by for a cocktail next time you are in Merchant City and prepare to marvel at this amazing and historic building. You are not going to forget a visit here any time soon!
