By working closely with Gordon Murray and Alan Dunlop Architects, we were able to manipulate the proposed structure and found a way of creating sufficient height in the space to hang a lightweight gallery from the slab above. We wrapped this around the window edge and embedded the bar and gantry within the space." collage bar: image © keith hunter from graven images "Leather upholstered cafe booths and deep lounging areas create a hierarchy of seating which helps the space work throughout the day and evening. The environment is designed to react to light and the key materials are glass and pale stone. Indian silver greywood veneer panels wrap the solid edges. The glass balustrade sparkles like a huge chandelier and gives another layer of transparancy to the whole composition. The views onto the street are fantastic!"
