In 1997 Glasgow City Council ran an invited architectural competition with four Glasgow architects. Phase One of the Tramway Theatre was completed in Jun 2000. Phase Two – the Hidden Gardensproject by NVA in the gardens behind the Tramway – opened in Jun 2003.

The construction of Scotland’s newest Sikh Gurdwara opened in 2013, a mere 14 months since construction began. The £4m complex situated at 25 Albert Drive, Pollokshields. The building is crowned with a large gold dome at the centre of the roof, marking the highest peak of the building.

Four teams of artists, designers and technology experts explained their proposals to Pollokshields residentsy. ‘Community Green’ was organised by New Media Scotland, SUST: The Lighthouse on Sustainability and Pollokshields-based environmental and creative arts project Radius Glasgow.
