The Computing Science department of the University of Glasgow located in a row of terraced houses on Lilybank Gardens in Hillhead, Glasgow, in Scotland.

Lilybank House Glasgow

The house was extended by Glaswegian architect Alexander Thomson around 1869 and again in the 1890s by architect Rennie Mackintosh.

Now housing the Department of Economic and Social History the building is located off University Gardens, just west of the central Library building in Hillhead.

Alexander Thomson

Glasgow Hillhead was a parliamentary constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1918 until 1997. It elected one Member of Parliament (MP) using the first-past-the-post voting system.

This area north west of the city centre generally includes Kelvinside, Kelvindale, Partick West, and Whiteinch.
