Moorfield Real Estate Fund II (MREFII), Moorfield Group (Moorfield) and Glasgow based joint venture partner, Resonance Capital, has announced that planning consent has been granted for ‘The Azure Building’, the latest addition to its collection of high-quality office space on the Skypark business campus.

The Azure Building will comprise 135,000 sq. ft. of highly efficient, ‘Grade A’ office accommodation in Glasgow’s most emerging hotspot, Finnieston. It has an imposing frontage to The Clydeside Expressway and will be located adjacent to the campus’ main building, Skypark 1, with immediate access to all transport links and leisure facilities the area has to offer, including the new Hydro venue.

With larger than average light-flooded floorplates, an impressive entrance lobby and south-facing landscaped terrace will ensure that The Azure Building will attract businesses looking for prestige accommodation, in an easily-reached and exciting neighbourhood. There will be an extremely generous car parking ratio of 1:865, showers and cycle storage areas.

Moorfield’s Mark Holmes said: “We are pleased to announce that the Azure Building, now has planning consent – a green light in the evolution of Skypark. The Building allows us to offer top-quality, Grade A space at competitive rents, in an emerging district that is adjacent to the City Centre. This is an exciting and unrivalled proposition for contemporary businesses.”

Ken Barrett, of joint venture partner, Resonance Capital, said: “Achieving planning consent so quickly is a ringing endorsement for Skypark and in the Finnestion area as the emerging face of Glasgow. Our business campus is not just a place to work it’s a place that works for tenants in an inspiring location. Skypark offers a unique business hotel concept that is the decider in attracting new tenants. With a full concierge service and a multitude of onsite facilities including a nursery, prescription delivery, dry cleaning services as well as fitness classes, art exhibitions, a film club and regular site socials and shopping for those who want to play.”

The Azure Building is being marketed for occupation by a major tenant through a pre-let and will offer very competitive rents for its high-quality specification.
