25 Feb 2009 South Lanarkshire College Campus Opening Location: Scottish Enterprise Technology Park, East Kilbride South Lanarkshire College Campus pictures from architect Designed by Archial Architects the new South Lanarkshire College brings together three campuses into one single site, purpose-built facility equipped with state of the art learning facilities. The South Lanarkshire College Campus officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal. The design brief called for a building to accommodate a diverse range of disciplines including construction, hair and beauty and teaching kitchens as well as a range of IT and general teaching facilities – all to be combined in one building on a prominent site within East Kilbride. The accesses and site circulation presented design challenges which have been resolved to create a building which includes a high proportion of workshop space in a sympathetic manner. The South Lanarkshire College Campus project was funded with assistance from the European Regional Development Fund and the Scottish Funding Council.
