Gordon Murray and Alan Dunlop Architects have now received Planning Permission for their alterations & extension to SP5 Skypark.

The proposed works to SP5 include the provision of 3 new additional floors. The refurbishment of the structural core from ground floor level to fifth floor level. The re-cladding of the gable ends & the 100m Finnieston Street Longitudinal facade.

The enormous scale of SP5 has been successfully handled by proposing a ribbon effect of undulating etched glass panels which give the presence of a complete new building rather than just an extension. The gable ends are proposed to be an aqua glass layer disengaged from the existing gable end.

The architects are also involved with several other large scale office developments in the Skypark site which include:

1: AMEC site 15 storey office development
2: Houldsworth Street Site
3: MSCP Site
4: AMEF Site 17 storeys office development
