With talks now set for 27 Jan in London to agree New Forth Road Bridge funding, Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy suggests the design should also be on the agenda, according to The Scotsman. Meanwhile, The Sunday Herald reports that PPP would likely increase the cost of the project from £2.3 billion to £4bn, with a toll of......£26. The SNP administration in Edinburgh, which opposes PFI/PPP, wants the UK Treasury to spread project costs over 20 years.
