"As cultural commandos, fighting Glasgow’s scorched earth planning policies of self-destruction in the sixties, Gillespie Kidd and Coia (GKC) built an international reputation for innovative humanist modernist architecture. The practice soon became internationally known for its expressive churches, schools and other religious buildings, to the eternal glory of the Catholic Church in Scotland. Brief review of Royal Scottish Academy Architecture Exhibition 2006
"I left feeling much more upbeat than the last few years: three decent-sized rooms filled with really good work. This is a simple unpretentious exhibition with a happy balance between models and hung frames....the only real concern was too great a preponderance of photos and too little 'craft'". [Adrian Welch]
