Level 42
Tallest scottish building - 42 storeys - planned Lanarkshire-based John Russell Partnership. Architect, Bob Ramage, apparently inspired by 48-storey One Wall Centre in Vancouver. Proposals - and the developer - are due to be unveiled soon - but the tower, named 'East One', will combine leisure & shopping with a 12-storey hotel above and and housing on upper floors. For comparison, it will be ten storeys higher than the red Road Flats; the proposed Elphinstone Place tower by Cooper Cromar is a 39 storey building: Tallest Building in Scotland
