Museum of Transport, Glasgow 3 Oct: competition to name Glasgow Bridge to be launched Councillor Steven Purcell, Leader of Glasgow City Council, and schoolchildren from Hillhead Primary will launch a competition on Monday 3 October, 2005 to name the newest pedestrian bridge over the River Clyde. Details of the competition and the prize, will be unveiled at the Museum of Transport by Councillor Purcell. A model of the Tradeston/Broomielaw pedestrian and cycle bridge will be on display at the Museum during the month of October to allow the public to see what it will look like. This is the third award this year in which the Community Centre for Health building has been short-listed for, and has to date, received a Commendation for ‘Best Publicly Funded Building’ at the Scottish Design Awards 2005.
