Plenty of discussion in the Press re the proposals by Peel Holdings for the site near Zaha Hadid's proposed Glasgow Transport Museum, which has also predictably created news re its cost increment. The proposals include a supercasino - as per the Ibrox Stadium and the SECC schemes - with Glasgow competing against cities such as Blackpool, London and Manchester for the single UK supercasino permit currently agreed: Glasgow Harbour

Just Some Sheds?
In the AJ of 9Feb the description of gm+ad's recent Clydebank buildings - featured on the AJ cover the week before with a Building Study - is denigrated in a letter from a London correspondent: "It's just some sheds on a crappy site in Scotland which no doubt the youths pictured will soon enjoy defacing"

Forth Road Bridge
News in the last week suggests a third crossing is looking more likely, though a campaign is ongoing: if a new bridge is set in motion it is extremely important for Scotland's reputation that an outstanding design be realised, ie no PFI fudge or major contractor-design elements: Forth Road Bridge
