Foster wins SECC II
Foster and Partners has won the contract to create an additional £50m concert arena at Glasgow's SECC. The 12,500-seater Glasgow arena is part of a plan to transform the 64-acre SECC site into a complete exhibition, conference and entertainments complex

NORD are launching the DROUTH bar at Milano Zero 4 (Milan International Design and furniture fair) as part of the Scottish Show at Designers Block. The show opens at Studio Zeta Via Friuli 26 Milano, 15.04.04
The Scottish Show has been curated by the Lighthouse, Scotland¹s Centre for Architecture, Design and the City and supported by The Scottish Executive as part of a programme of events to showcase the best of Scottish design nationally and internationally.
On its return from Milan the first DROUTH bar will be installed at 373­377 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow as part of a new bar concept to be opened in Sep 04

The 39 storey building is proposed to replace the former Strathclyde Regional Council offices at St Vincent Street. At 134m, the skyscraper will be a full 9m higher than Scotland's current tallest structure, the Tower at Glasgow Science Centre (125m).

St Vincent Skyscraper
A £100m 39-storey skyscraper is proposed by Elphinstone Group by Cooper Cromar Architects for Glasgow's St Vincent St - 9m higher than Scotland's current highest building, the Glasgow Tower. In Edinburgh Forth Ports Plc are looking at a 35-40 storey buidling at Leith Docks
