JOB RUNNING ARCHITECT AND TECHNICIAN REQUIRED - CONTRACT POSITIONS
We have an urgent requirement for a very experienced Technician and
a qualified Architect for an immediate start for one of our clients.
The work mostly involves small to medium-sized education projects.
Typically these range from the complete re-design of a sports facility
to alterations and extensions to primary and secondary schools.
You must be capable of working automously, have good client/contractor
skills, be used to working on site and have excellent knowledge of
current building regulation. You should also be fully AutoCad literate
and be capable of producing full drawings.
This post is initially for a minimum of 3 months weeks but may be
extended. You sould also have access to your own transport. Any recent
schools experience would also be ideal.

senior qualified landscape architect to work on a wide range of EIA,
public realm and masterplanning projects for the private and public
sector.
The position is based in either our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices with
the opportunity to work with our network of UK offices.
The duties of the post holder will include:
This post sits within our landscape, urban design, planning, heritage
and graphics team. The successful candidate will join our team of
landscape and urban design staff in delivering a wide range of EIA,
landscape assessment, public realm and construction projects.
We will also expect the candidate to undertake project management
activities, taking responsibility for client liaison and negotiations
as well as assisting the management team with tendering and marketing.
The role also requires excellent people skills in working in a multi-disciplinary
environment. We are particularly looking for candidates with good
hand drawing and sketching skills.
Requirements
Qualifications
* Degree in Landscape Architecture
* MLI (or equivalent)
* IEMA an advantage
Technical Knowledge
* Relevant work experience, gained in either a consultancy or local
authority environment
* Experience in co-ordination of EIAs as well as carrying out landscape
and visual assessments
* Appropriate amount of experience in delivery of urban design projects
including feasibility studies, concepts and large masterplanning projects
such as urban extensions and large scale urban regeneration schemes
* Experience of public realm and neighbourhood renewal an advantage
* Highly motivated and able to work both in multidisciplinary teams
or on own initiative
* Ability to express ideas quickly via hand drawing a priority
* Excellent writing and communication skills
* Competent in AutoCAD and Photoshop or similar graphics packages
* Current driving license (essential)
* Familiarity with working in a QA environment (desirable)
