£8m City Halls project in Glasgow Merchant City gained approval at Glasgow Council's cultural and leisure services committee.The City Halls will become the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra (BBCSSO) base, the Scottish Music Information Centre and Glasgow home for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, due to finish by autumn 2004. The next-door Fruitmarket will be renovated as a break-out space for the project. Nov 02
